Sipkitty holds 3.2 litres and filters it in three stages before it reaches the bowl. The body is 304 food-grade stainless steel, so it wipes clean and goes in the dishwasher when you want a proper wash.
Steel instead of plastic, for a simple reason
Plastic bowls pick up scratches within weeks. Those scratches hold a film that turns slippery after a few days, and it never quite rinses off.
Stainless steel is non-porous. There is nothing for that film to sit in, it does not hold a smell, and it will not corrode. Cleaning is a rinse under the tap, or the top rack of the dishwasher once in a while.
A comfortable drinking height
The stream sits high enough that your cat can drink without folding her neck down to the floor. The basin is wide, so her whiskers stay clear of the sides.
There is a water level window on the front, which means you can see when it needs topping up without lifting the lid off.
Water passes through three stages
Most fountains use one pad. Sipkitty runs the water through a mesh pre-filter, then activated carbon, then ion-exchange resin.
Pre-filter
Holds back hair, litter and food particles so they do not end up circulating in the reservoir.
Activated carbon
Reduces odours and the taste that comes with treated tap water. Cats are fussy about both.
Ion-exchange resin
Reduces water hardness, which keeps limescale away from the pump if you live in a hard-water area.

The brand behind the fountain
Sipkitty is a specialist cat hydration brand based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We design our own fountains, hold our own stock and ship every order from our own warehouse, so the standard is ours to set and ours to answer for.
Common questions
How often does the filter need changing? +
Every four to six weeks for one cat. Change it sooner if you have several pets or live somewhere with hard water. An 8-piece pack covers roughly a year for a single-cat household.
Will my cat actually use it? +
Cats are drawn to moving water, and most take to a fountain within a day or two. Leave the old bowl out for the first week so she can choose. If she never uses it, you have 30 days to send it back.
How loud is it? +
The pump runs on 5V and is designed to be quiet enough to leave on overnight. If you can hear it, the water level is usually low or the pump needs a rinse.
How do I clean it? +
Rinse the bowl and basin under the tap during the week. For a full clean, the components are dishwasher safe. Steel is non-porous, so there is no film to scrub off and no plastic smell to soak out.
How long does delivery take? +
Processing takes 2-3 business days and shipping 5-8 business days, so 7-11 business days in total. Orders placed before 6PM (Mon-Sat, GMT-5) start processing the same day. Shipping is free on every order.
What if I want to return it? +
You have 30 days from receipt. Returns are free, there is no restocking fee, and we accept exchanges. Items must be unused and in their original condition. Email support@sipkitty.com and we will send instructions.
